A Taste of London

Signing up for a TasteCard is a worthy investment.

Dont let the one-off fee (£69.95) put you off becoming a part of this fantastic offer. The card gives you 2 for 1, or 50% off at thousands of London restaurants. This includes a variety trusted chain restaurants (GBK, Zizi's) but also smaller, specialized restaurants. A recent addition is the respected, highly authentic seafood restaurant Fishworks, for the best seabass in town.

You will really be surprised at the savings you can make at some truly tasty restaurants- there is only so many subways a student can eat.

A Students Guide to Fashion Week

The highlight of the fashion calender has arrived. Never mind the nuisance of the 'Student' label, London Fashion Week is impossible to be a part, unless you work (high up) in the industry or happen to be a socialite with the best connections (ahem Olivia Palermo).

The good news is that the week, celebrating the best of British, does offer some hidden thrills for students, if you know where to look.

To workers, it may seem insignificant, but in honor of the occasion Topshop are offering the perk of free deliveries throughout the UK for the week. Now you can indulge in some affordable, on trend shopping without leaving the library. Or maybe its the hangover thats stopping you heading down to the flagship Oxford Circus store. Whatever the reason - now their is no excuse!

Even more exciting is that EVERYONE can be a part of iconic British label Burberry's show, taking place tomorrow. The show is being streamed live on a 32 meter digital screen in Piccadilly Circus. Its can also be watched live on line for anyone too lazy to even leave their dorm. Where ever you chose to watch it don't miss out - an inside source says its going to be jaw-dropping show.

Student Beans

Rule number of being a London student is to sign up to the amazing student beans site.

Once signed up, you will be able to access hundred's of London-specific student deals, ranging from 2-1 meal cinema tickets, coupon savings on books and magazines, and even free gym passes.

The site goes further into student life too. Offering features such as Student 101, to games and videos, it can help connect you to the student population as well as save on your budget.

The concept behind the website is also inspiring: Being on student beans should become as essential to student life as the beloved can of backed beans.

There is no excuse not to get one board.

Living in London is exciting, inspiring but also expensive.
It often feels that the 'in' places to go to are out of a students budget.

But I'm here as a messenger, helping you stay on top of deals on offer and suggesting quirky ways to enjoy the city without breaking your purse strings.

From meals to museums, clothes to cocktails, check this website every week to find out how you can save without having to live off subway and cider!

Enjoy,

Odette
